The Gunung Geulis Country Club is located in the regency of Ciawi-Bogor, a mere 45 minutes’ drive along the Jagorawi Highway, about 50 km from the business center of Jakarta, yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the capital city.
The sprawling 450 hectares of mountain terrain blends naturally into the golf complex, giving you a sweeping vista and fresh mountain air. The ambience is both tranquil and rewarding.
Gunung Geulis (‘beautiful mountain’ in Bahasa Indonesia) lies at an elevation of 400 to 500 meters above sea level. The site is bordered to the north by the Cikeas River and opens onto a vista of Bogor and Jakarta in the far distance. You can imagine how cool are the evenings and how fresh the mountain air – the perfect climate for good golf and a great holiday.
There are two 18-hole courses at Gunung Geulis. The West and East Course, and the club house equipped with full facilities, are part of a comprehensive tourist resort that includes Resort Cottages, Convention facilities, a Health Centre, a Sports complex with indoor and outdoor facilities, Holiday Villas and a Recreation Center.
This was the first golf course ever built on the hillside of Bogor. Thomson Wolveridge and Perret were lucky to have such a natural terrain. measuring 6,075 meters, it is picturesque and patience when you play your first round. Course management is a must and so is the right club selection.

Also design by Thomson, Wolveridge and Perret, the course measures 6,065 meters, slightly shorter than the West Course. It is design as a “buggy” or electric cart course. The first 9 or Valley 9 is undulating, following the contour of the hills. The other 9 is more gentle and fairways wider. All the grees are well kept – no unfair breaks! With 4 Tees accompanying every hole Gunung Geulis aims to please every golfer of different skills.
